Customer & vehicle history

Vehicle history, every job on one screen

Every job, MOT and invoice against the vehicle, in one record, so the question "what did we do last time?" takes a second, not a filing cabinet.

  • Complete service history against every vehicle
  • DVSA MOT history pulled in automatically
  • VRM and postcode lookup built in
An illustration of a customer record: contact details and the last three jobs against their vehicle, each with a date, service and price.

Where this fits in the job

  1. Booking

Type a reg, get the rest filled in

A record is only worth keeping if you can find it again, which is why the history follows the vehicle rather than the invoice.

One record, not three systems

Contact details, every vehicle they own, what they have spent and every conversation, held together. Most garages have this spread across a diary, an accounts package and somebody's phone.

Find the job nobody can remember

Search by registration, customer, date or what was done. The job you need is usually the one where somebody says they think it was maybe eighteen months ago.

DVSA history at no extra cost

Official MOT history pulled against the vehicle automatically, including every past advisory. You are not paying per lookup for something that should already be on the record.

How a record builds itself

Four steps, and the history is a by-product of doing the work.

1

Registration looked up

The vehicle identifies itself; nobody types the specification in.

2

Record created

Customer and vehicle linked, with MOT history pulled in.

3

Every job attaches

Work, parts, checks and invoices hang off the same record.

4

Searchable for good

Find any past job by plate, customer, date or what was done.

DVSA MOT history alongside your own work

Type a registration and the vehicle fills itself in. Type a postcode and the address does the same. Both exist because a mistyped detail is what makes a record hard to find later.

  • The vehicle identified from its number plate, not typed in
  • Addresses entered correctly the first time from a postcode
  • Official DVSA MOT records attached to the vehicle
  • No re-keying between the booking, the job and the invoice

The advisory from two years ago, still on the record

The detail you need to quote and to order the right part, held against the vehicle rather than looked up again every visit.

  • Make, model, engine, VIN and specification held once
  • What is due, what was done, and what was advised against
  • Tyre sizes and fitments against the vehicle rather than looked up again
  • Parts and warranty tracked against past work

History that earns work

A vehicle with a record is a vehicle you can bring back: declined advisories, service intervals and MOT dates are all reasons to make contact, and they are all already there.

  • Declined work stays on record for the next visit
  • Service and MOT dates drive automated reminders
  • Spend per customer visible at a glance
  • Full history exports with you if you ever leave

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes we can - providing the data supplied is in a usable format we will import it free of charge as part of the setup process. Our team will work with you to ensure a smooth transition.

The data is and will always be yours. Should you ever want to cancel your subscription with us we will pack up your data and transfer it to you in a standard format that you can use with any other system.

Your data security is our top priority. We use enterprise-grade encryption, regular security audits, and maintain strict access controls. All data is backed up daily and we are fully compliant with data protection regulations.

The DVSA MOT history is, yes. It is pulled against the vehicle at no per-lookup charge. VRM lookups for full vehicle specification are metered from 10p, because that data is licensed rather than public, and we would rather show you the split than average it into the plan price.

The history stays on the vehicle, because it describes the vehicle rather than the owner. If the new keeper brings it to you, the work you did two years ago is still there with the advisories attached, which is usually a better first conversation than starting from nothing.

Yes. Spend is held against the customer across all of their vehicles, so a fleet of three vans reads as one relationship rather than three unrelated records. That is normally the number that decides how hard you work to keep them.

It is not aged out or archived behind a paywall. The record from four years ago reads the same as the one from last week. A vehicle history that quietly stops going back far enough is not much use for the conversation it exists to support.
